For this Machik Kora, we welcomed three speakers - all of whom are powerful civic voices in the global Tibet community: Dechen Tsering, public health specialist, co founder of ACHA and coordinator of the Tibetan Covid-19 Task Force; Dekila Chungyalpa, conservationist, disaster preparedness specialist and director of Loka Initiative; and Eva Herzer, mediator and senior advocate for Tibetans world-wide. They spoke on topics ranging from disaster preparedness in Tibetan monastic communities to the management of public health systems during this global pandemic.

It’s been truly heartening to reconnect with those of you who joined our first two Kora sessions over the past two weeks. Our online meetup has already brought different parts of the Machik global community together in unexpected ways at this strange and unprecedented time, and we hope this spirit continues with our Koras to come!
