In the wake of the senseless violence in Atlanta and elsewhere far and wide, we gathered as a community for a Kora to reflect, share and organize toward creating a world where hate and racism everywhere can be eliminated. Since the onset of the pandemic, Asian people everywhere have experienced an alarming rise in racially motivated attacks — disproportionately the violent attacks harm the elderly and women.
As a Tibetan women-led organization, we are committed to creating safe spaces for the Machik tribe to gather, listen and understand the experiences that are shaping our personal realities and collective worlds. Our heartfelt gratitude to our three speakers, Patti Chang, Tenzin Dolker and Gelek Badheytsang, for sharing their insightful thoughts and reflections with the wider community and to everyone else for actively participating in this timely community-led discussion. |
