With a new season underway, we hosted this Machik Kora as an open forum to look at how our Tibetan communities and friends around the world have been persisting through the pandemic. How have you and your community been coping over the past six months? What insights have you gained over the last few months? How have you been involved in helping your community adjust? How can we best support one another in the months to come? In what ways has the experience of the pandemic motivated you to change?
In many areas of Tibet, the edelweiss ( སྤྲ། tra, pictured left) grows humbly along mountain slopes. But when used as part of the mechak tool, it can create light and fire. We hope this small but powerful bloom brings some inspiration and warmth as we look ahead to the work of building a better future for all. This community forum was held jointly in English and Tibetan. |
